LOA Daily - Your Faith Is Your Fortune, Chapter 18, by Neville Goddard

April 11th, 2019

Entitled, "The Twelve Disciples," Neville takes what is described in the Bible about each of the 12 disciples and turns them into a list of attributes of the human mind. Once again, he derails traditional Christian thought, but he does so in a way that affirms God in Man.

Here is a list of the disciples and the disciplines of the mind that Neville says that they represent:

  1. Simon/Peter - Hearing only the I AM within.
  2. Andrew - Courage and faith in onesself.
  3. James - The justice of turning the other cheek.
  4. John - The belovedness of one who loves others.
  5. Phillip - The awareness that God and Man are one.
  6. Bartholomew - Awakened imagination.
  7. Thomas - The doubter of external rumors and suggestions.
  8. Matthew - The desires of man as gifts.
  9. James the son of Alphaeus - Discernment with clarity.
  10. Thaddeus - The one who praises, thanks, and appreciates the good things in life.
  11. Simon of Canaan - The one who only hears good news.
  12. Judas - Detachment from what we are so that we can become what we will become.
