The Law And The Promise, by Neville Goddard, Chapter 1

Cindie returns from vacation, and we rev up to speed in a big way by taking on Neville’s magnum opus.

The earlier shows we’ve done exploring many of Neville’s other books give us some great background for starting this one.

The biggest surprise with this first chapter is that it’s one of the very few chapters Neville wrote that contains no references at all to Bible verses. As a result, we don’t even need our Neville decoder rings to make sense of this chapter.

Subtitled, “Imagining Creates Reality,” Neville charges out of the starting gate by hitting his main theme head-on.

We learn that William Blake was way ahead of his time in terms of understanding the true nature of how life works. Was he the first LOA deliberate creator? Maybe not, but he was certainly one of the early ones.

Neville very clearly states that human is divine. “Divine imagining and human imagining are not two powers at all, rather one.” We are the creators. It brings a smile to my face.

The chapter makes clear that Neville places great store in human imagination, not surprisingly. This is the chapter where he clearly lays out the idea that the topic he’s been talking about in all his written and spoken presentations is law.
