LOA Daily - Breathing Easier During The Pandemic

Breathing Easier During The Pandemic
The big news today in the pandemic was the acknowledgement that
breathing is the big issue for people who are critically ill with the
Covid19 virus. In the face of disastrous results with ventilators, some
doctors are now recommending alternative techniques for patients dealing
with breathing issues, techniques that sound remarkably similar to those
we talk about here on LOA Today.
Please note: we do not dispense medical advice on this program. See your
doctor before making any major changes to your regimen.
Author J.K. Rowling shared a video by a doctor from the U.S. who
advocates a specific breathing technique for people struggling with the
illness. Walt discusses this for the first few moments of the show
because of how similar that breathing technique is to what we talk about
when we talk about meditation practices.
Not surprisingly, a lot of patients are fearful of the coronavirus, and
unfortunately fear is the last thing you need when you’re trying to
breathe properly because fear leads to constricted breathing.
We discuss a variety of breathing-related topics and share some ideas
about the importance of practicing deep breathing, especially these days.

LOA Daily - Yes You CAN Be Too Careful

Yes You CAN Be Too Careful
One of the recurring themes that have emerged during the pandemic is the
idea that you can’t be too careful, But Walt takes issue with that
claim, pointing out that when being careful means doing so from a
viewpoint of fear (which most people today are doing), you are
attracting even more reasons to be fearful into your life.
Daniel piles on by talking about some LOA groups he has blocked because
they’ve been broadcasting need-driven, desperate cries for group prayer
for Covid19 victims, noting that the fear they’ve masked behind their
demands are actually counterproductive to what they claim to want to do.
And Alyx puts the cherry on top by saying she just refuses to pay any
attention to any of the negativity.
We also talk about the amazingly powerful kids in our lives and the
roles that they play to teach us amazing stuff.

Dealing With The Earth Shift From The Pandemic
Rita Gigante has decided to become a Friday regular here on the podcast!
Hooray! We welcome her back today and talk about the ideas and
strategies for dealing with what’s going on and persisting in keeping
our vibrations high, even when people around us are getting dragged down.
Rita and Linda do a great job of outlining so much of what is going on
from an energetic perspective. We also get a visit from a new listener,
Donna, who is one of Rita’s good friends. Plus Linda draws a card that
features Archangel Michael, which Rita describes as the angel who is
protecting and leading all of the other angels to help protect us during
this trying time.
All in all, it’s a great welcome to Rita for joining the Friday team,
and it’s a great way to kick of your weekend.
Welcome Rita!

LOA Daily - Hypnotherapy With Coach Rasheid Edwards

Hypnotherapy With Coach Rasheid Edwards
Rasheid “Coach” Edwards is a mental health consultant and hypnotherapist
with a Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Coach
Edwards has over 13 years of experience in behavioral and success
achievement strategies through speaking and coaching. He believes that
the challenges plaguing the average individual is controlled by their
perception and thinking related to their circumstances. His experience
as a coach and hypnotherapist has taught him that we have
unintentionally spent a lot of time programming our minds to work
against us. Now it’s time to program our minds for success.
Rasheid is the author of The Secret Commitment, a book outlining the 7
key concepts to goal achievement and transformation. Rasheid has
recently completed a mental health primer entitled, Mental Health
Matters (releasing in April). In light of the current pandemic, he is
using his skills to help people suffering from anxiety and stress in a
web-based format.
Coach gives us a good overview of what hypnotherapy is and how it’s
done. Daniel shares a rather embarrassing incident he once had on stage
with a stage hypnotist. Alyx remembers a similar incident with a stage
hypnotist, although in her case she got to laugh at her friends rather
than the other way around. But then Rasheid reminds us that while
hypnotism for entertainment has its place, it’s really quite different
from hypnotherapy. You can find his website at www.mentalinfinity.com.

LOA Daily - Kids Live From The Front Lines

Kids Live From The Front Lines
The pandemic is affecting kids as well, so today we invite Alyx’s two
nieces, 12-year-old Coral and 9-year-old Mo, to tell us about what it’s
like dealing with quarantine from a kid’s perspective.
Coral demonstrates that she definitely knows her own mind. When Daniel
tries to get her to react to a question about someone else making her
laugh, she’s not having it. She also volunteers that she and Mo fight a
lot. But the first thing she wants to do when they lift the quarantine
is to go to the beach if it’s a warm day.
Mo acknowledges that she and her sister tend to fight a lot, but she
also misses her friends and loves playing with four very young kittens.
And they both like visiting Alyx and Kenny.
We all came away from the delightful conversation with greater
appreciation for the wisdom that comes “out of the mouths of babes”.
